Join us at the 2018 Los Angeles Archdiocese Religious Education Congress in Anaheim: Friday, March 16–Sunday, March 18

You’ll find us at Booth 460 in the exhibition hall from Friday until Sunday

It’s that time of year again—The Los Angeles Archdiocese’s annual Religious Education Congress is taking place between Friday, March 16th and Sunday, March 18th at the Anaheim Convention Center. As always, on the Thursday prior (March 15th) “Youth Day” is held for High School students. The theme of this year’s congress is “Rise Up!”

Friday through Sunday events are open to adults and young adults alike. Congress features hundreds of speakers presenting hundreds of workshops along with lunchtime entertainment, evening concerts, films, liturgies, and a large Exhibit Hall hosting all manner of artists and art galleries, music and publishing houses, educational institutions, and Archdiocesan ministries.

The Archdiocesan Catholic Ministry with Lesbian and Gay Persons will be there, and we invite you to visit our booth in the exhibition hall (number 460), and/or attend one of this year’s LGBT-themed presentations:

Track 2-10, “Transgender in Our Schools: One Bread, One Body” (Friday, 1:00 – 2:30 pm), facilitated by Arthur Fitzmaurice and Fr. Bryan Massingale in Convention Hall North 256-258

Track 5-18, “Building a Bridge: Bringing Together LGBT Catholics and the Church” (Saturday, 1:00 – 2:00 pm), facilitated by Fr. James Martin in Ballroom AB

Track 7-09, “Teaching Mercy: Accompanying LGBT Students” (Sunday, 10:00 – 11:30 am), facilitated by Arthur Fitzmaurice and Fr. Chris Ponnet in Convention Hall North 158

With hundreds of other presentations—most in English, but quite a few in Spanish and Vietnamese—there is sure to be something for everyone. More about the Congress is available on their web site.

We hope to see you there!
